Angekommen in der schoenen Landschaft rund um den Lake Powell, wurden wir jedoch von den Campingplaetzen sehr enttaeuscht. Der erste Campground war nur mit einem Allrad Fahrzeug erreichbar, der zweite direkt am Lake, war ganz Ok, aber auch nicht das Wahre fuer 10 Dollar (ohne Sanitaere Anlagen) und der dritte war dann zu teuer (24 Dollar) 😀
Also machten wir uns auf zu dem 10 km entfernten Walmart, da wir schon einmal davon gehoert haben, dass man dort auf dem Parkplatz im Auto legal uebernachten darf. Als wir ankamen sahen wir schon ein paar Wohnmobile rumstehen. Unsere Unterkunft fuer diese Nacht waere also gbongt. Gekocht wurde wieder auf unserem tollen Gaskocher. Bei mir gab es Chilli, und Ramon machte sich Spaghetti mit Mais und Fleischbrühe 😀

Gerade im Moment als ich diesen Artikel verfasste, saßen wir im McDonalds nebenan, und haben das FreeWifi genossen. NEIN gegessen wurde hier nicht 😉

Morgen werden wir hier die Gegend rund um Page erkunden bevor es dann zu den Rocky Mountains geht.

    die Reaktion auf den Grand Canyon war ja wie ich sie erwartet habe. Irre wa?
    Wollte dich nochmal an die riesigen redwoods erinnern, zwar nichts gegen den Canyon, aber es lohnt sich. Außerdem eine wirklich schöne Gegend + die Bäume riechen auch noch sehr geil.

    Liegt bei Santa Cruz auf Eurem Weg nach Frisco. Weiter nördlich gibt’s wohl noch größere, aber da kommt Ihr nicht vorbei.
