Auf dem weg nach Las Vegas haben wir den Hoover Damm passiert. Ein Security Check musste durchgefuehrt werden, um das riesen Gebilde befahren zu duerfen.

Der Damm sollte jedem ein Begriff sein, denn er ist der groesste seiner Art in den United States. Man wirkt auch richtig klein, wenn man ihn per Fuss ueberquert.

Viel gibt es hier nicht zu schreiben, ich nutzte die Pause auf dem langen heissen weg nach Las Vegas.

Der Hauptzweck des Dammes einmal die kontrollierte Wasserabgabe in Arizona, Nevada und Kalifornien sowie natuerlich eine immense Stromerzeuging, wovon allein halb Süd-Kalifornien versorgt wird.

Nicht lange aufgehalten, ging es dann die letzten Meilen nach Vegas. Dazu aber in einem separatem Artikel.
